Tommy was a colleague I had during one of my projects in 2014. In 2018 he had the bold and courageous idea to get into stand up comedy and do a show at Edinburgh Fringe.
He came to me in 2017 telling me how he was getting a photoshoot done of him naked with a microphone and a ukelele and that he wanted me to do his marketing material and a website for it.
As traumatic as it was, I admired his bravery in giving stand up a go, so I did the work for him. He had a vision of how he wanted the typography to look and gave me some examples of what inspired him, and I set to work. The photography was great, so I was able to work with high quality imagery with clean backgrounds that allowed me to let the colours and details pop on the artwork. Alongside the offline promotional material, I also created him a Squarespace site that gave all the details of his regular shows and allowed him to update anything if the details changed.
